it starts with one

Robby Choate aka "the chonky" aka p2e guy.

i’ve wanted to make money gaming since the day i got my first console: an atari. for most of my life, it felt like the only way to do that was to work for a game company—and trust me, i tried. but lacking a college degree and direct industry experience, i never got my foot in the door.

instead, i built my career in digital agencies—working as a product owner, ux director, and eventually owning and operating my own for nearly 9 years. i helped brands launch products, solve user problems, and drive real results. but in my downtime? i was gaming on my iPhone, iPad or both simultaneously. i spent my hard-earned money chasing quick dopamine hits and had nothing to show for it but receipts and a sore thumb.

now it’s 2025, and the game has changed! we can finally make money playing mobile games. we probably ain't gonna get rich—but that won’t stop me from trying.

my adventure into the world of reward gaming, casual p2e and cash back apps started with TesterUp. it was the first platform i saw that offered real money just for playing games, so i gave it a shot. as i played, i started seeing ads for similar platforms—Scrambly, KashKick, Copper, Pogo and more. i downloaded each one, jumped in, played and tested the shit out of them.

what i discovered was a wild west of rewards. there is no standard. payouts for the same game varied by platform. for example, Monopoly Go, by Scopely and Hasbro, offered payouts ranging from $10 to $500 depending on where you found it. some versions had just a few purchase objectives. others were packed with so many steps it felt impossible to finish. some would cost thousands to complete. and if you wanted to grind it out for free or cheap? good luck. the time commitment was unreal.

after testing more than 10 platforms across both iOS and Android, and combining that with my product and UX experience, i started to see patterns. i figured out which apps are legit, which ones waste your time, and which ones are straight up tryin' to rob you. and yeah—some of these mfers are pretty sneaky.

so that’s why i built p2eat. to share what i’ve learned. to help you cut through the bullshit. so follow along, grind smarter, and let’s earn some fuckin' money—or crypto—together.
